The rules and conditions governing your use of TraceTales
Plain-English summary: TraceTales is an educational app for children, operated by parents or carers. Use it only for its intended purpose. Don't misuse it or try to harm others. Subscriptions are managed through Apple. For questions, email hello@tracetales.co.uk.
By downloading, installing, or using the TraceTales iOS/iPadOS application ("the App"), or by accessing this website at tracetales.co.uk ("the Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App or Website.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and TraceTales. Please read them carefully.
TraceTales is an educational application designed for children aged 3โ11, operated by parents or carers. It provides curriculum-aligned learning activities across English, Maths, Science, and Citizenship, along with a Parent Dashboard for monitoring progress.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.
TraceTales is used by children under the direct supervision and responsibility of their parent or legal guardian. By creating a child profile and allowing your child to use the App, you:

TraceTales is available free of charge with a limited set of features as described on our pricing page.
We may offer free trials from time to time. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the subscription will convert to a paid subscription at the standard rate.
All content in the TraceTales App and Website โ including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, character designs, audio content, and software code โ is owned by or licensed to TraceTales and is protected by UK and international copyright law.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for its intended personal, non-commercial educational purpose. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our prior written consent.
TraceTales is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TraceTales will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the App Store is subject to Apple's own Terms and Conditions. TraceTales is not responsible for Apple's conduct or policies.
This Website uses Google Fonts, loaded from Google's servers. Your use of Google Fonts is subject to Google's Terms of Service.
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the service if you breach these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings or by emailing hello@tracetales.co.uk. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under applicable local law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
